Incentives for Washington State Customers:
Cascade Natural Gas Customers
Cascade Natural Gas offers a variety of incentives to residential customers for including energy efficiency measures in new homes in Washington. Incentives are available directly from Cascade Natural Gas in Washington and are administered by Energy Trust of Oregon in Oregon.
The incentives apply to residential customers of Cascade Natural Gas who heat their home or water primarily with natural gas. For new homes, two options are offered:
1) Energy Star Whole Homes Incentives and Upgrades, or
2) New Construction Stand-Alone Incentives.
Energy Star Whole Homes Incentives cannot be combined with most other energy efficiency incentives offered. For more information, contact SUNDANCE Energy Services.
Puget Sound Energy Residential Customers
Take advantage of up to $8,000 in combined utility rebates and potential federal tax credits to make energy efficient home improvements this year
The recent stimulus bill extends energy efficiency federal tax credits into 2010 and increases the maximum dollar amount allowed to $1,500. In addition, you can take advantage of PSE rebates and incentives totaling as much as $6,500 for energy efficiency home improvements, including the purchase of ENERGY STAR® rated appliances or equipment and converting from electric to natural gas home and water heating.
Both PSE rebates and federal tax credits are available for upgrades to energy efficient HVAC equipment such as ENERGY STAR-rated natural gas furnaces, air-source heat pumps and ductless heat pump systems, and ENERGY STAR rated water heaters.
PSE rebates for energy efficient home improvements
In addition to the rebates below, customers may be eligible for up to $1,500 in federal tax credits.
